Job description

Since its formation in 1978, Moore Concrete Products Ltd has developed into a world-class, quality-focused, precast concrete manufacturer based outside Ballymena. The company is customer-focused, ensuring the continued evolution of our extensive product range designed to meet the requirements of civil infrastructure, agriculture, and building customers across the UK and Ireland.

We are currently recruiting for a Building Sales Advisor to join the sales department due to our ongoing growth. The role involves working as part of a team to maximize sales of precast concrete products in line with company standards and targets, providing excellent customer service, maintaining sales administration duties, and supporting other departments as needed.

Hours Of Work

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent customer service and maximize sales opportunities, handle enquiries, and convert them into orders to meet team targets.
  2. Serve customers, hauliers, and suppliers, operate barriers & weighbridge.
  3. Ensure enquiries and tenders are accurately priced within required timeframes.
  4. Conduct proactive sales visits/meetings to customers (housing developers, merchants, self-builds) and network accordingly.
  5. Secure orders at the best possible price and record information accurately.
  6. Provide accurate information to Planning, Production, Quality/Technical, and Dispatch to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
  7. Record any non-conformances or complaints and assist with resolution and corrective actions.
  8. Provide holiday cover for the transport function as required.
  9. Perform any other duties within reason and capability, as agreed with the Building Sales Coordinator / Head of Sales.
Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience and strong ability in customer service.
  • Ability to deal professionally with customers/clients.
  • Motivated individual with a strong interest in the building/construction industry.
  • Good education and/or equivalent experience in sales administration, including skills in Mathematics, English, and computer use.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a busy team environment.
  • Confidence in using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Desirable Criteria
  • Knowledge of precast building products.
  • Experience with Sales Logix, Crystal, or Sage packages.
  • Understanding of business operations.
  • Experience in achieving KPIs and targets.
