About KierBAM

KierBAM is a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and BAM. We are currently delivering a redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We are seeking an experienced 4D BIM Coordinator who is a self-starter with a drive to pursue continued education in Digital Construction Technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3D and 4D modelling, working with planners and designers to bring projects to life, visualizing complex problems, and validating models with clients and designers.

Due to the site being a high-security military naval base, additional security checks are required – BPSS level security clearance is necessary, which can take up to 8 weeks.

Your work environment

BAM offers a flexible working policy with a hybrid model (3 days in the office and 2 days remote).

Your mission

As a 4D BIM Coordinator, your responsibilities include:

1. Serving as a subject matter expert for digital construction tools and providing technical support.
2. Communicating effectively with stakeholders and collaborating with senior project management to optimize digital integration.
3. Representing the company in meetings internally and externally.
4. Ensuring modelling work complies with ISO 19650, BAM, and CAD standards.
5. Producing high-quality visualizations to support decision-making and onsite construction.
6. Becoming the authority on all Synchro 4D pro projects.
7. Training and assisting Digital Construction Technicians and Modellers.
8. Understanding hardware/software needs and liaising with the BIM Lead and Project Information Manager.
9. Maintaining safety and environmental standards per company policies and reporting issues.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will:

1. Work effectively within a multidisciplinary and diverse team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
2. Have a good understanding of civil/structural design principles.
3. Have a keen interest in 3D-4D design, modeling, and creating immersive models.
4. Be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Synchro 4D pro.
5. Possess advanced visualization skills (e.g., framing, color, contrast, symmetry).
6. Have knowledge of model coding for planning within 3D and 4D models.
7. Experience with 3Ds Max and video editing software is beneficial but not essential.
8. Have an educational background in Construction or related fields.
9. Possess working knowledge of ISO 19650.
