A leading company is seeking an experienced 4D BIM Coordinator to join their team in Plymouth. The role involves utilizing digital construction technologies to enhance project delivery, ensuring compliance with standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong visualization skills and experience in 3D and 4D modelling. KierBAM is a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and BAM. We are currently delivering a redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth and are seeking an experienced 4D BIM Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, eager to pursue continued education in Digital Construction Technologies, with experience in 3D and 4D modelling, collaborating with planners and designers to bring projects to life. Capable of visualizing complex problems and articulating solutions both on screen and off, and skilled in model checking and validation with clients and designers.
Due to the site being a high-security military naval base, additional security checks are required—BPSS level clearance is needed, which can take up to 8 weeks.

As a 4D BIM Coordinator, your responsibilities include:
Serving as a subject matter expert for digital construction tools and applications, providing technical support as needed.
Communicating effectively with all stakeholders and working closely with senior project management to maximize digital benefits.
Representing the company at internal and external meetings.
Ensuring modelling work complies with ISO 19650, BAM, and CAD standards.
Producing high-quality visualizations to support decision-making and onsite construction.
Becoming the authority on Synchro 4D Pro projects.
Training and assisting Digital Construction Technicians and Modellers.
Understanding hardware and software requirements and communicating with the BIM Lead and Project Information Manager.
Maintaining high safety and environmental standards per company policies and reporting issues.
Effective team collaboration and strong communication skills.
Good understanding of civil/structural design principles.
Interest in 3D-4D design, modelling, and creating immersive models.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Synchro 4D Pro.
High-level visualization skills (framing, color, contrast, symmetry).
Knowledge of model coding for planning in 3D and 4D models.
Experience with 3Ds Max and video editing software is beneficial but not essential.
Educational background in Construction or related fields.
Working knowledge of ISO 19650.
