Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE:

Acuity Knowledge Partners is seeking a Director, Sales Manager for the EMEA Business Development team, based in London. This managerial role leads the Europe Asset Management business development function.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of the capital markets landscape, with significant experience in the buy-side (asset management, hedge funds, private wealth) and an established industry network. Alternatively, candidates with a proven track record in leading teams selling knowledge process outsourcing services to asset management clients are suitable.

This quota-carrying role requires experience in managing high-performance sales teams, with hands-on involvement in pipeline creation and deal closure.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct high-quality enterprise sales cycles, including prospecting new clients, leveraging existing relationships, qualifying demand, creating value propositions, and negotiating complex agreements.
  2. Set team goals, manage performance, and drive client retention and acquisition.
  3. Achieve sales quotas through new client acquisition and leveraging existing relationships to sell high-value services such as Investment Research and Compliance Monitoring platforms.
  4. Negotiate with senior-level clients to promote outsourcing and offshoring benefits.
  5. Coordinate with offshore and nearshore teams for client coverage.
  6. Manage the quarterly pipeline proactively.
  7. Meet sales targets, develop client relationships, and ensure satisfaction.
  8. Maintain existing client relationships with a client-centric approach.
  9. Travel as required.
Key Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a leading university.
  • Experience in front-office roles within Asset Management, Investment Banking, Investment Research, or Private Equity, with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in pitching to senior asset management clients is highly desirable.
  • Experience in knowledge-based outsourcing or consulting services is a plus.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Skilled in needs-based selling and engaging senior decision-makers.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Experience in leading sales efforts, proposal development, and closing deals.
  • Creative problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with attention to detail.
