Senior Specifications Technologist
£35,000 - £38,000 + Benefits + Hybrid/Remote working
Location - Bala, North Wales (Commutable from: Wrexham, Oswestry, Conwy, Mold, Shrewsbury, Llanrwst)

We are working with a rapidly expanding food manufacturer seeking a Senior Specifications Technologist to join their dynamic technical team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute significantly to a business supplying major UK retailers.

This is a hybrid role with an option to work up to 3 days on-site and two days from home after a probationary/training period, or entirely on-site if preferred.

The main responsibility is to complete retailer, customer, and own brand specifications, including for retailers like Sainsbury's, Tesco, Co-op, Aldi, Morrisons, ASDA, Lidl, Premier (Hamilton Grant), among others. The role also involves managing and administering retailer systems and supporting team members.

The ideal candidate will be well-organized, proactive, able to meet tight deadlines, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as is full IT literacy in Microsoft Office.

The Role:

• Create and manage accurate product specifications across various retailer platforms.
• Maintain and update retailer systems with relevant product and technical data.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Liaise with internal departments, retailers, and third parties to ensure accurate and timely information flow.

The Person:

• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and manage tight deadlines.
• Strong communicator, both written and verbal.
• Confident in cross-functional collaboration and external communications.
• Fully IT literate, especially in Microsoft Office applications.
