Job Description:

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer who specializes in Compressors & Steam Turbines to join our Rotating Equipment Division (RED) under the Equipment Consulting Services Department.

RED is responsible for providing high-level technical consultations/support to all the company's operating facilities, joint ventures, and heavily supporting the company's major projects from the early stages until startup.

As a Rotating Equipment Engineer, your role will be to develop value-adding concepts and technologies to address corporate challenges and enhance operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the company's engineering standards and best practices related to various types of rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate, you will be required to perform the following:

• Provide technical consultations for equipment including dynamic (e.g., centrifugal), positive displacement (e.g., reciprocating) compressors, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
• Specify and review equipment designs, selections, ratings, and specifications for new projects, including modifications to existing equipment.
• Maintain and improve the company's standards for compressors, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
• Develop and introduce new technologies or innovative ideas to address business challenges or enhance equipment reliability, availability, and performance.
• Lead in developing and recommending solutions to solve plant machinery technical issues.
• Provide work direction, technical advice, and mentorship to teammates and junior engineers.

As a successful candidate, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program (advanced degree is preferred).
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in Rotating Equipment, with a focus on compressors and steam turbines within refineries, chemical plants, gas plants, or similar facilities.
• Experience in analyzing performance, troubleshooting, selecting, and repairing process gas compressors, steam turbines, and gearboxes, including auxiliary components such as seals, bearings, and lube oil systems.
• Detailed knowledge of international codes and API standards related to rotating equipment, especially compressors, steam turbines, and gearboxes.
• Category II vibration analyst certification.
• At least two recent engineering reports or case histories authored by you on rotating equipment issues, including compressors and steam turbines.
