Job Description:

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer specializing in Compressors & Steam Turbines to join our Rotating Equipment Division (RED) under the Equipment Consulting Services Department.

RED provides high-level technical consultation and support to all company operating facilities, joint ventures, and major projects from early stages to startup.

The role involves developing innovative concepts to address corporate challenges and improve operations, while maintaining the company's engineering standards and best practices related to rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for equipment such as centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
  • Specify and review equipment designs, selections, ratings, and specifications for new projects and modifications.
  • Maintain and improve standards for compressors, gearboxes, and steam turbines.
  • Develop new technologies and ideas to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Lead in solving machinery technical issues.
  • Mentor and guide teammates and junior engineers.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degrees preferred.
  • At least 20 years of experience in rotating equipment, focusing on compressors and steam turbines in refineries, chemical, or gas plants.
  • Experience in analyzing, troubleshooting, selecting, and repairing process gas compressors, steam turbines, and gearboxes, including auxiliary components.
  • Knowledge of international codes and API standards related to rotating equipment.
  • Category II vibration analyst certification.
  • At least two recent engineering reports or case studies authored by you on rotating equipment issues.
