We are a leading embedded payments provider in the UK and Europe and are looking to hire ambitious and value-adding talent. The Product Director, Payments will play a critical role, building and leading a high-performing product team to drive revenue growth and build innovative products.

The Role

As a Financial Product Manager at Modulr, you will be an integral part of the team, working closely in our Product team solving problems faced by internal stakeholders. You will work closely with Finance and Payment Operations teams to ensure key processes such as Client billing, Safeguarding, Daily Reconciliations and preparation of management accounts are efficient, accurate and effective. You will be responsible for uncovering problems, gathering requirements, producing detailed specifications, and exploring new data solutions to improve our operational processes.

As a member of the Product team, you will have visibility of new products and change programmes that may impact operational functions. Therefore you will also act in an advisory capacity to ensure these do not adversely impact key processes and teams.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide teams with the appropriate systems and information to manage their day to day activities.
  • Help Modulr scale its core operations manage more clients and products with proportionally less people.
  • Build efficiencies into our operational processes including use of automation, GenAI, Modulr platform enhancements, and leveraging third party system capability.
  • Evaluate, recommend and help onboard vendors and systems Modulr should work with to achieve scale.
  • Ensure the processes and systems strategy in place meets key regulatory, contractual requirements as well as Industry best practice across Modulr's operating jurisdictions.
  • Leverage Modulr's own capability to transform finance core functions, and make money flow safer and faster through the business.
  • Support the creation, management of initiatives that will transform the Finance, and Payment Operations teams.

The Team:

In this role, you will report into the Product Lead - Customer Operations, and you will work day-to-day with the finance and payment operations teams, data and engineering teams including vendors to understand and address operational challenges.

About you:

You have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. You will be a keen problem solver, address key challenges head-on, and have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You will be ambitious in pursuing a career in Product Management.

The Ideal Candidate
  • 2+ years of experience in an Analyst or Product role preferably in a technology or financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex large datasets to solve problems.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting: Excel and SQL is a must. Exposure to other tools and technologies such as Data Warehouses, Python, Power BI, Tableau would be a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
