Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Flexible - Derby, Sunderland, Bristol. Travel within the UK is required. Security Clearance Required: SC. Sole UK Staff and Contract roles available.

You will support our clients in delivering high-quality, customer-engineered products and systems that meet rigorous testing, manufacturing, and project standards. Your role involves understanding complex systems and providing technical support to ensure smooth operations—from drawing reviews to problem-solving and supplier queries.

Your Missions:

1. Execute technical work packages with precision and full documentation traceability.
2. Review designs for manufacturability, utilizing industry inspection and test processes.
3. Assist in developing assembly and constructability methods, including reviewing and approving manufacturing documentation.
4. Troubleshoot and manage manufacturing issues within Supply Chain partners on behalf of a client.
5. Conduct detailed root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions using proper reporting tools.
6. Support project planning and reporting.
7. Collaborate with local and global partners and engage with supply chain activities.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile:

• Knowledge of metallurgy, metallics, and/or composite materials (desirable).
• Experience assessing defect criteria related to cracking, sub-surface defects, surface coating defects, and NDE detection methods.
• Experience in manufacturing and testing processes—machining, casting, fabrication, welding.
• Experience in manufacturing composites for marine applications, including repair methodologies (desirable).
• Degree in engineering or a scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Computer-literate and tech-savvy.
• Ideally working towards professional body membership and chartered status.

This role requires the candidate to hold (or be able to obtain) a minimum of Security Check (SC) clearance without caveats.
