Transportation Planner

Responsibilities
- Documentation Management: Prepare, process, and distribute shipment documentation for all inbound and outbound services daily.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to customs regulations and other relevant requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team environment, communicating with contractors, tenants, operating areas, and core team members.
- Assignment Variability: Responsibilities may vary based on assignment location (rail or trucks).
- Trucks: Create and process paperwork for all inbound and outbound deliveries, coordinate with logistics to ensure timely deliveries, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Rail: Assign railcars to meet customer needs, optimize railcar fleet utilization, and prepare daily switch lists for in-plant railcar movements and outbound shipments.
- Work Schedule: Work rotating eight- and ten-hour shifts, covering seven days a week, with occasional overtime.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective time and resource management
- Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Patient, pleasant, and service-oriented
- Team player willing to assist others during downtime
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and occasional overtime
- Respect for confidentiality
- Punctuality, professionalism, and safety awareness
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
