Transportation Planner

Responsibilities

1. Documentation Management: Prepare, process, and distribute shipment documentation for all inbound and outbound services daily.
2. Compliance: Ensure adherence to customs regulations and other relevant requirements.
3. Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team environment, communicating with contractors, tenants, operating areas, and core team members.
4. Assignment Variability: Responsibilities may vary based on assignment location (rail or trucks).
5. Trucks: Create and process paperwork for all inbound and outbound deliveries, coordinate with logistics to ensure timely deliveries, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
6. Rail: Assign railcars to meet customer needs, optimize railcar fleet utilization, and prepare daily switch lists for in-plant railcar movements and outbound shipments.
7. Work Schedule: Work rotating eight- and ten-hour shifts, covering seven days a week, with occasional overtime.
