A leading company in the UK is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join their team. The role involves land development, technical design, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure projects meet regulatory standards. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance their careers in civil engineering.
Established in 1966, Able is a privately owned, ambitious, and successful organization. From its origins, the company has been committed to providing a reliable service, respecting the environment, and adapting to the changing needs of clients. Initially a specialist in complex demolition processes, it has grown into a major player across sectors such as offshore wind, demolition, decommissioning, site reclamation, land, property, and ports development.
To support this growth, Able is developing new bespoke port facilities on the River Tees and the River Humber, with the latter establishing one of Europe's most extensive industrial offshore wind clusters. These activities are supported by the government, and the Humber facility has secured Freeport Tax Site status.
The group remains a European leader in the receipt and disposal of redundant oil and gas structures, achieving a recycling rate of over 99% at its Able Seaton Port near Hartlepool. Additionally, as a major landowner in northern England, including one of the UK’s largest vehicle storage and distribution centers near Immingham, the property development arm focuses on environmentally friendly solutions that serve local communities.
The privately owned group has a proven track record of investment and is dedicated to making a positive difference across all activities.
Due to ongoing growth, we are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our team.
We are looking for a highly motivated Civil Engineer who is either Chartered or actively working towards Chartered status with a recognized professional body (e.g., ICE, IStructE). The role encompasses the full spectrum of land development, including feasibility studies, navigating planning and consenting regimes, detailed design, construction, and demolition.
The position requires collaboration with both external and internal stakeholders to ensure projects meet regulatory standards, safety guidelines, and budget requirements.
