About the Company - Our client is a well-established and leading Geotechnical company. Their highly trained team focuses on understanding site conditions for UK construction projects through rigorous testing and sampling above and below ground. They support personal and professional development and are expanding their teams. Currently, they have a great opportunity for a dedicated Senior Geologist to join their southern offices.

About the Role - As a Senior Engineering Geologist, you will work on various projects across the country. You should be proactive, independent, and a strong team player. Good management skills and industry experience of at least 5 years are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• At least 5 years of experience in engineering geology within transport/energy sectors.
• Report to the Operations Manager and deliver ground investigation and geotechnical services across the UK.
• Work in sectors including infrastructure, nuclear, energy, and environmental projects.
• Be confident with ground investigation techniques.
• Prepare Health & Safety documentation and promote a safe working environment.
• Plan, supervise, and schedule Ground Investigation projects nationwide.
• Log Soil and Rock in accordance with BS5930:2015+A1:2020.
• Maintain accurate field records.
• Supervise activities and staff as a Site Agent or support role.
• Perform in-situ testing and sampling per standards.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and contractors during site works.
• Manage and collate site data using company software.
• Assist in compiling monthly financial project accounts.
• Write factual reports.
• Follow company Health and Safety protocols.
• Maintain fitness to perform site tasks on various sites, including active construction sites and linear projects.

Qualifications - HND or Degree in engineering geology, environmental, or geotechnical fields.
