Stantec UK is looking for an Archaeology and Heritage Consultant to join our team in Reading or Bristol (other southern England offices considered). The role involves delivering technical advice and reports, focusing on water, highways, and infrastructure projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a global consultancy expanding in the UK, working within professional, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality historic environment consultancy advice and technical documents for various schemes.
The responsibilities include providing advice, risk analysis, research, preparing technical documents such as Desk Based Assessments, Setting Assessments, and Environmental Impact Assessments, reviewing HER data, conducting site visits, and stakeholder consultation for evaluation and mitigation strategies.
About You
You are passionate about Britain's archaeology and heritage, with a good understanding of relevant legislation, planning policy, and guidance. You have several years of consultancy experience, excellent report-writing skills, and ideally GIS experience. Archaeological fieldwork experience and a CIfA membership at the Associate level or above are required. A clean UK driving license is essential.
