Stantec UK is looking for an Archaeology and Heritage Consultant to join our Reading or Bristol offices (other southern England offices may also be considered). The consultant will deliver technical advice and reports, focusing on water, highways, and infrastructure clients.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a global sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consultancy expanding in the UK. You will work within professional, collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality historic environment consultancy advice and technical documents for schemes of various sizes.
You will provide advice, risk analysis, and research for schemes requiring planning consent, prepare technical documents such as Screenings, Technical Advice Notes, Desk Based Assessments, and Environmental Impact Assessments, review HER data, conduct site visits, and report writing.
Under senior guidance, you will also consult with stakeholders on evaluation and mitigation strategies and manage archaeological fieldwork with subcontractors.
About You
You are a motivated individual passionate about Britain's archaeology and heritage, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and planning policy. You have several years of consultancy experience, excellent report-writing skills, and ideally GIS experience. Archaeological fieldwork experience and a CIfA membership at the Associate level or above are required. A full UK driving license is essential.
