Job description

Join Barclays as a Test Automation Engineer, where you'll be part of the Wholesale Lending team responsible for building automated test scenarios under the guidance of the test automation lead. You'll benefit from collaborating within a vast professional network, engaging with industry leaders and experts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience.
2. Create and run automated test scripts using frameworks and tools to identify defects early.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and develop acceptance criteria.
4. Perform root cause analysis for defects and support their resolution.
5. Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of quality and knowledge sharing.
6. Stay updated on industry technology trends and contribute to organizational knowledge sharing.
7. Lead or guide teams in complex tasks, set objectives, and coach team members.
8. Manage risks, develop policies, and strengthen controls related to testing processes.
9. Communicate complex information effectively and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

1. Experience with programming in Core Java, Collections, OOPS concepts, Exception Handling, SQL, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Junit, Git.
2. Experience working in agile teams to define and implement automated testing solutions based on user stories and stakeholder input.
3. Knowledge of performance and security testing.
4. Understanding of lending products and their pricing is advantageous.
5. Structured problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple work streams.
6. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitLab.
