Assistant Management Accountant
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team based at Parkhouse, Carlisle.
The post holder will contribute to effective budgetary control and forecasting services for the Trust, providing assistance and advice to budget holders through regular meetings. They will support in identifying efficiencies and responding to queries from budget holders.
The post holder will liaise with budget holders to understand variances in expenditure and income against budgets.
The role involves preparing and posting journals for budgets, income, and expenditure, and ensuring prepayments and accruals are included in the Trust’s accounts. The post holder will ensure compliance with DoH, NHSI, and Trust policies.
Work will be self-directed, with planning and organizing workload to meet deadlines.
Starting salary depends on experience and training needs (Band 4-5 or Annex 21).
Applicants may also be considered for temporary positions via the Skills Development Network work placement scheme.
You should have a good finance background, preferably AAT qualified, proficient in finance and information systems, especially MS Excel. Good communication skills are essential to discuss income issues with staff.
