Required Responsibilities
- Act as a safety partner by intervening when unsafe acts are practiced. Promote and demonstrate safe behavior and practices. Assist Site and QSE management in determining RCAs and corrective actions for investigations.
- Complete all safety training assigned. Act as a resource for junior technicians when questions arise.
- Utilize all PPE as required by Work Instructions and QSE Manual. Provide input regarding any discrepancies found in Work Instructions or PPE sheets.
- Support continuous improvement activities, including the development of best practices.
- Build and maintain effective internal partnerships. Refer complex issues or customer inquiries to higher-level technical staff or management, demonstrating good customer focus and improving satisfaction and loyalty.
- Fully navigate and input all required data through MyTime and MyTask, including different cost allocations (e.g., SO's).
- Access and use online tools (e.g., Toolkit, SAP, VOB, VGA, VIS, VTM).
- Understand how dashboards impact the site (alarms, warnings, fleet, service orders, labor efficiency, etc.).
- Navigate and utilize Insite Toolbox.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and mentorship.
- Follow Work Instructions and propose adjustments or improvements as needed (e.g., PTP).
- Entry and follow-up of TSL and CIR.
- Support specialty jobs (e.g., crane work, CIM projects).
- Use available tools to grow and learn, supporting team development.
- Promote a positive team environment within technical staff and across departments. Assist teammates in achieving operational goals and mentoring lower-level staff.
Qualifications Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of technical wind industry experience OR, in the absence of wind experience, at least three years working with hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and composite skills OR 2 years of wind industry experience plus a Wind Technician program certificate.
- Internal candidate training/certificates: LOTO II, D-Service, TBC Core 100 & 200, Turbine specific 100 & 200.
- External candidates must complete required training within 6 months.
- Intermediate knowledge of industrial safety practices (e.g., Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out).
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and associated tooling; ability to train others in these tasks.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a passport (preferred).
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and schematics.

Competencies Required
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 125 meters (400 feet).
- Lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stand, balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and bend frequently.
- Manual dexterity with tools and turbine parts.
- Work in demanding physical and weather conditions.
- Comfort working remotely in turbines with limited supervision.
- Total weight with PPE should not exceed 300 lbs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software.
- Reliable attendance.
- Valid driver’s license.
