We are working with a market leader in robotic milking machinery to recruit a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer. This role involves hands-on engineering combined with strategic leadership, bridging the gap between senior management and the mechanical engineering team.

The Job

• Utilize AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (3D) for mechanical drawings, addressing in-depth questions from your team.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop innovative mechanical solutions.
• Assist senior management in designing and managing projects to drive company growth.
• Ensure all designs meet high standards, are fully specified, and are delivered on time.

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience with automation and/or robotics systems.
• Project management experience.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Interest or experience in dairy farming (desirable).

• Salary: £43,000 - £48,000, DOE
