Job Description:

The role of the Area Sales Manager - Timber and Construction Products involves:

• Field sales of sawn timber, carcassing timber, pallet wood, packaging material timber, Canadian lumber, machined whitewoods, saw milling, decking, and fencing timber
• Selling into builders merchants, timber merchants, and buying groups
• Building relationships and managing an existing portfolio of over 200 active accounts
• Handling order values from €12k to €250k
• Working four and a half days on the road, with half a day for admin and remote work
• Following a 6-12 week customer journey plan, with approximately 6 calls per day
• Contributing to sales of approximately 120,000 cubic meters of material
• Typically 2-3 overnight stays per week depending on location

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven field sales experience selling timber or related building materials to builders merchants, timber merchants, or buying groups
• Experience dealing with order values up to €250,000
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Autonomous working style
