Job Description
PBS Offshore (Ponticelli UK Ltd) are looking for an Operations and Maintenance Improvements Coach to join our team. You would be responsible for identifying, supporting, and driving improvements in offshore operations and maintenance activities, in collaboration with the PBS Maintenance & Operational Excellence Team. Focusing on increasing the efficiency of offshore technicians, identifying operational and performance gaps, implementing strategies to close those gaps, and enabling best-in-class operations through coaching and cross-team engagement.
Key Deliverables
- Collaborate with asset and functional teams to identify improvement opportunities in offshore maintenance and operations efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies that streamline offshore technician workflows, minimise inefficiencies, and enhance maintenance execution.
- Perform gap analyses in offshore operational practices, workforce deployment, and task execution efficiency.
- Engage both onshore and offshore teams to understand challenges and opportunities from multiple perspectives.
- Act as a coach and mentor to offshore teams, supporting the implementation of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Provide input to CMMS optimisation efforts to improve work order clarity, bundling, and prioritisation.
- Participate in the Management of Change (MoC) process for any offshore operational changes and improvement initiatives.
- Support data-driven performance reviews, using KFIs, Supervisor and
- Technician feedback to identify trends and improvement areas.
- Conduct regular offshore visits to observe, engage, and coach on best practices and improvement areas in real time
Profile
Qualifications And Work Experience
Essential: Strong background in offshore operations or maintenance roles, ideally within the energy sector
Essential: Demonstrated experience in driving operational or maintenance efficiency improvements
Desirable: Coaching or mentoring experience in industrial environments
Essential: BOSIET/FOET and offshore medical certification
Job Specific Knowledge
Essential: Strong understanding of offshore maintenance operations and technician workflows
Essential: Familiar with CMMS systems, planning cycles, and performance metrics
Desirable: Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Skills
Essential: Strong coaching and interpersonal skills to influence change at the technician and supervisory level
Essential: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Essential: Skilled in engaging cross-functional teams and facilitating operational workshops
Essential: Capable of translating strategic improvement goals into offshore-executable actions
Essential: Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior leadership and frontline staff
This role is an offshore, multi asset position which will be on a 1/2/3 rotation.
