Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Engineering team in Southampton. This role offers the chance to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth through challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will foster relationships with customers, ensure high service standards, and act as a bridge between engineering and service teams to maintain customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:

  • Train staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Support Professional Services and Sales within Network Services.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report on accounts.
  • Identify trends, security threats, and technical bulletins affecting customers.
  • Manage documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
  • Follow processes for task management, reporting, and change documentation.
  • Assist with PoC scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Create technical documentation such as TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
  • Review engineering documentation peer-wise.
  • Assist in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
  • Attend customer meetings and support reviews.
  • Ensure accurate and timely timesheet submissions.
  • Maintain certifications aligned with role objectives.
  • Complete overtime and expenses accurately.
  • Follow GDPR and security policies regarding data and information handling.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate has an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. We will support your development in these areas. You should have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and experience in a support environment, with on-premise Cloud Services experience as a plus.

  • VCP 6.x-DCV (Desirable)
  • MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
  • Knowledge of Networking Concepts
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ (clustering, availability groups)
  • Azure MFA and Identity Services
  • Microsoft System Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2016+
  • VMware vCloud Director knowledge
  • Leadership qualities and ownership mindset
  • Hands-on with relevant technology
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Problem-solving passion and ability to work independently or in a team
