About the opportunity

An established luxury property development company in central Brighton is seeking a meticulous and proactive Bookkeeper to join their team. Working within a prestigious property environment, you will oversee financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting the wider business operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Record all financial transactions accurately using Xero accounting software
  • Process payroll operations including wage calculations and tax withholdings
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies
  • Assist with budget monitoring, variance identification and adjustment recommendations
  • Monitor expenses and suggest potential cost-saving measures
  • Maintain clear communication between company departments regarding financial matters
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to analyse financial data and identify discrepancies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a similar bookkeeping role
  • Property or construction industry experience beneficial
