Job description

A Commercial Catering Engineer is required for a client based on the South Coast near Brighton. They are a leading company in commercial catering equipment, serving the catering, hospitality, and public sectors. The role involves providing service, maintenance, repairs, and installations on various commercial catering and refrigeration equipment. This opportunity has arisen due to increased demand and new contracts.

Position Overview

The Commercial Catering Engineer will carry out maintenance, repairs, and fault finding on catering equipment such as fryers, ovens, microwaves, and steamers. The engineer will attend sites across East Anglia, including restaurants, hotels, schools, and bars. Candidates must have Comcat qualifications (such as Comcat 1, 3, and 5) or relevant electrical catering experience.

Requirements

• Comcat 1, 3, and 5 qualifications
• Experience working on electrical catering equipment
• Reside within East Anglia, covering Norfolk and Suffolk
• Industry experience with commercial catering equipment
• Experience in electrical and gas catering equipment repair & maintenance
• Experience with Rational and dishwashers is advantageous
• Full UK driving licence

Remuneration

• Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 depending on experience
• 40-hour work week
• Door-to-door travel paid
• Call-out rota (1 in 6 weeks) with paid retainer
• Company van (for personal use), fuel card
• Overtime at 1.5x and 2x rates
• 21 days holiday, increasing to 25 days after 3 years, plus bank holidays
