Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £36,408 (including £2,658 non-concessionary payment)
Working Arrangements: Flexible working options available, including full-time, part-time, and compressed hours. Up to 20% home working may be available depending on business needs.

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will work with a close-knit team to defend our organization against cyber threats such as malware, insider activity, DoS attacks, and phishing. Your responsibilities include detecting, responding to, and mitigating risks, analyzing alerts, logs, network traffic, and endpoint data using tools like Splunk, and developing detection content. You will also utilize threat intelligence to proactively improve security measures and support digital forensics during security incidents.
You should have a passion for IT and cybersecurity, experience with scripting, familiarity with Windows and Linux OS, and knowledge of Python. Interest in developing skills in AWS and Azure is desirable. Candidates must hold a foundation-level cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Security+) or have at least 6 months experience in a cybersecurity role. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
We offer in-house, on-the-job, and external training opportunities, including certifications from SANS and OFFSEC. You will be paired with a mentor and gain hands-on experience in threat detection and incident response. Opportunities for travel, conferences, and staying current with cybersecurity innovations are available but not mandatory.
