Job Purpose:
Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing and the manufacturing team in a high-volume, low-value bespoke printed product environment. Ensure teams are trained, managed, developed, and deployed effectively to meet customer and company objectives. Drive continuous improvement, optimize throughput, and ensure operations align with skills and processes to meet service delivery targets. Apply lean principles and the theory of constraints with a collaborative management approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all production aspects in line with KPI targets and sales goals.
- Establish and execute production plans to minimize backlogs and meet KPI targets.
- Provide clear reports on manufacturing progress, risks, and mitigations.
- Support employee development and motivation initiatives.
- Develop production metrics to support KPI achievement.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001, and health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and e-commerce teams to support sales growth and product opportunities.
- Participate as a key member of the senior management team.
- Implement lean, the theory of constraints, and 5S practices where appropriate.
- Work with HR to maintain training matrices, develop staff, and manage performance.
- Drive change within the business.
- Support recruitment efforts promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Create operational solutions for volume growth and asset utilization.
- Assist in developing and delivering the annual operating budget.
