Job description

The eCommerce Brands team is seeking an eCommerce Trading Manager to join our UK growth initiatives. Based at our Head Office in Leicestershire, this role offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits. It is a 12-month FTC (maternity cover).

Next is one of the UK's largest fashion retailers and a major listed company, selling products both in-store and online across the UK and internationally. We are experiencing rapid growth, making this an exciting time to join us.

The UK Trading team focuses on optimizing online product sales on Next.co.uk, covering Womenswear, Menswear, Childrenswear, and Home. They manage product launches and strategic promotions to enhance sales and brand visibility.

The role

You will identify targeted marketing opportunities to boost brand visibility and engagement by integrating Lipsy and WOB into larger womenswear campaigns and key marketing moments, playing a pivotal role in business success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing sales data to identify onsite and marketing opportunities, focusing on major categories, growth or decline areas, and best-selling items.
  • Analyzing sales and funnel metrics to recommend website changes to improve traffic and conversions, including item titles, imagery, descriptions, key features, and search banners.
  • Managing website navigation, search banners, and search recall for Lipsy & WOB.
  • Assessing and improving SEO rankings to increase organic traffic through content, titles, copy, and banners.
  • Collaborating with product teams to ensure Lipsy & WOB are considered in new developments.
  • Conducting commercial QA checks and resolving live issues.
  • Engaging with the product teams to share opportunities.

Marketing responsibilities:

  • Identifying customer targeting opportunities, e.g., marketing new product ranges to specific customer segments.
  • Coordinating and executing marketing campaigns for new launches and peak trading periods.
  • Managing advertising for Lipsy & WOB, expanding campaign volume.
  • Liaising with creative teams for assets supporting marketing activities.
  • Sharing and aligning wider womenswear marketing campaigns.
  • Reviewing traffic patterns and suggesting strategies to increase traffic, working with paid marketing teams.

This role is based at our Leicestershire Head Office, with flexible working arrangements: 3 days in the office and 2 from home. We value work-life balance and flexibility.

Ideal candidates will have experience in eCommerce trading, working closely with product teams, be highly analytical, data-savvy, and possess strong communication skills, a driven attitude, and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
