Full-stack Technical Lead - Equities- Global Hedge Fund

Salary: £160,000 base + ~£75,000 bonus

Summary:

One of the world's most prestigious multi-strategy funds is seeking an experienced software developer to join as a Senior Technical Lead, responsible for end-to-end development and maintenance.

This is a global, hands-on Tech Lead role covering both backend and frontend UI development for a greenfield initiative. The successful candidate will architect, design, and develop interfaces for OMS/EMS software, ensuring seamless user interaction, scalability, and performance.

Strong team leadership skills and the ability to work independently with high autonomy and project ownership are essential.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Expertise across the full stack, with a slight preference towards backend technologies: Java, JavaScript, React, and Angular

• Previous experience in financial services
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles, theories, and concepts

Desirable Experience (not essential but highly valued):

• Financial experience, especially within equity trading OMS/EMS
• Knowledge of data-intensive technologies and concepts, e.g., Big Data, cloud technologies (GCP preferred)
