Job Description:

The team plays a vital role in protecting communities from infectious diseases and public health hazards. We seek passionate Senior Health Protection Nurses to join our progressive Lincolnshire Public Health division.

The Senior Health Protection Nurses will support the delivery of Health Protection across Lincolnshire, working collaboratively with managers and public health staff to manage incidents and outbreaks of infectious and environmental hazards.

They will operate both collaboratively and autonomously, using transferable skills to develop and deliver the Health Protection service. The role involves acting as a catalyst for practice and service development, with resilience and a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.

The post holders will lead specific areas such as Infection Prevention & Control, Screening & Immunisation, and Sexual Health, and will engage in the broader health protection work.

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant nursing qualifications and/or a background in nursing education
• Active NMC registration
• Enhanced DBS check
• Experience in Health Protection or related fields, with knowledge of Infection Prevention & Control and Public Health
• Ability to handle complex issues proactively
• Strong stakeholder relationship skills in sensitive environments
• Willingness to travel and access to a car (expenses reimbursed)
