We thrive through diversity and value the variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and opinions in the room – and if you value this too, there’s a place for you with us.

What you'll do

As a Project Management Apprentice within our Commercial & Institutional – Business Banking & International Retail Team, you will:

  • Provide and analyze information, coordinate activities, plan effective interactions with key stakeholders, and accurately complete a variety of administrative tasks.
  • Act as a point of contact for senior managers, responding to queries on their behalf, and finding effective solutions to enquiries.
  • Undertake activities such as project support, event planning and coordinating, authorizing team expenses on behalf of senior managers, and sending out local team communications.
  • Undertake diary management and assist with your manager's inbox, making sure they are well prepared and informed for sessions.
  • Provide logistical support, such as scheduling travel, arranging accommodation, and organizing internal and external meetings, including preparing and distributing meeting packs where necessary.
What you’ll learn

Taking on an apprentice role could be a fantastic starting point or change for your career. You’ll receive support every step of the way, with guidance, training, and mentoring to help you reach your full potential. Your line manager will set you up with goals and an individual learning plan to help you complete professional qualifications or technical trainings.

Your learning journey will include:

  • How to contribute to preparing and maintaining a business case.
  • Developing resource management plans for project activities.
  • Effective methods of identifying, monitoring, and implementing responses to risks.
The skills you'll need

We’re looking for people with a passion for learning and high levels of determination, motivation, and drive to succeed. You’ll have strong communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build, maintain, and enhance relationships at all levels.

You’ll also need:

  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive and inquisitive mindset, with the ability to challenge and offer solutions.
  • An analytical, numerate, and logical skillset with the ability to adapt well to change.
  • Good planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage your time effectively.
