A key strategic role with the PR team in the UK and Ireland, leading on film lifecycle campaigns.
Our client expects an exemplary candidate with 6+ years of experience to:
- Lead on all PR strategy and implementation for a film’s lifecycle, including Theatrical, PVOD, EST, and Physical, with little to no supervision.
- Deliver campaigns for large, tentpole franchise titles while managing a diverse slate of 20 titles, each demanding bespoke, creative campaigns. The candidate should be highly creative and adaptable to change.
- Expand conventional publicity opportunities by focusing on innovative ideas that stand out in the marketplace.
- Lead content capture, press access, and PR strategy for local acquisitions across all windows.
- Maintain excellent digital, broadcast, and print contacts, with a thorough understanding of the UK and Irish media landscape, and a proven track record in securing press coverage.
- Orchestrate influencer and tastemaker strategies.
- Champion innovation and change within the team by identifying new campaign, process, and industry opportunities.
- Experience in line managing direct reports and supporting senior management with staffing and team morale.
- Communicate fluently with the PR team, colleagues across the business, and report directly to the VP of Publicity.
- Engage with senior executives in the UK, EMEA, and Burbank through meetings and reports.
- Work with filmmakers and talent on titles and local acquisitions.
- Manage employed agencies to facilitate campaigns and achieve results.
- Drive cross-divisional collaboration on key titles with the Franchise, TV, Catalogue, and Games teams, fostering a unified team approach and identifying opportunities for innovation.
What we need from you:
- Film Publicity Experience: 6+ years of proven experience in film publicity, capable of managing campaigns independently. Experience in unit PR, TV, Games, and franchise work is preferred.
- Self-Motivation: Highly self-motivated, willing to work unsociable hours as needed.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt working style and hours at short notice to accommodate the dynamic publicity environment.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Critical for media relations and internal reporting across the UK, EMEA, and Burbank.
- Planning and Organizing: Highly organized with the ability to plan both short-term and long-term activities.
- Results Orientation: Committed to achieving high results in a demanding, ever-changing environment.
- Decision-Making: Able to think quickly and make logical decisions under pressure.
- Commercial Acumen: Understanding of maintaining brand integrity and budgeting skills in publicity.
