Job description

Our client, based in Basildon (SS14), is seeking a skilled Logistics Operative. This is a full-time temporary position working 37 hours per week until December 2025, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the transition of materials through the hub to meet business requirements and service level agreements by performing set daily tasks within the Logistics Team.
2. Carry out tasks including Goods Receipt, Picking, Stock relocation, Repair receipt, Packing, Perpetual inventory checks, and Inter-site transport.
3. Operate in line with business processes, SAP, and local Logistics Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in Logistics, Warehouse, Retail, and Stock Management.
• Experience using SAP or similar business systems.
• Clean Driving License.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to use own initiative when working independently.

Desirable Requirements:

• Certification to operate forklift, Reach truck, Pallet Stacker truck, and MEWP. Retraining can be provided if licenses have been previously held.

Note: One of the forklift operations involves working at height, which requires passing a medical examination and comfort with height work.

Due to the nature of the position and the stock/materials processed, only UK nationals are eligible, and candidates must either hold SC Security Clearance or be able to obtain it quickly.
