Position: Civil Field Engineer

Place of Work: Camden, NJ; KPS Technology Center and various Nuclear Power Plants

Holtec International seeks qualified applicants for the Civil Field Engineer position in its Civil Design & Construction department within the Nuclear Power division, based at the KPS Technology Campus in Camden, NJ.

This department is responsible for constructing Spent Fuel Storage Installations at Nuclear Power Plants across the United States and internationally.

The Civil Field Engineer provides critical support throughout project design, estimating, and construction phases. Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting estimators with proposal analysis, quantity takeoffs, and incorporating historical data for accurate cost and labor estimates.
2. Preparing bid and procedure packages.
3. Supporting the development and maintenance of construction schedules.
4. Managing construction documentation such as logs, submittals, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
5. Tracking material deliveries and assisting with project status reports.
6. Attending project meetings and supporting project close-out activities to ensure smooth execution and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with 1-5 years of experience (or 5-10 years, as per clarification).
• Knowledge of civil construction aspects: concrete, rebar, soils, underground utilities, drainage, etc.
• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time; temporary relocation may be required for 6 to 18 months depending on the project.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Primavera and AutoCAD is preferred but not mandatory.
