Job Opportunity: Complex Care Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant. For this role, you must have experience in caring for clients with PEG feeds. We support individuals of all ages in the community and their homes, including those with Spinal Cord injuries, Muscular Dystrophy, acquired brain injuries, and other complex needs. Every day will present new challenges, and your efforts will brighten your clients' days while you develop your skills and knowledge.

Client Details

The client is a young adult with an acquired brain injury, requiring care for several complex needs, including:

• PEG feeds (PEJ)
• Daily suctioning
• Intermittent catheter care
• Monitoring for seizures

Responsibilities

What you'll do

Provide care for clients with complex needs, including PEG feeding, suctioning, and seizure monitoring. Support clients in their daily routines, ensuring their safety and comfort, and document care appropriately.

Qualifications

What you'll need

Experience in adult healthcare, including:

• Seizure management and anti-seizure medications
• Rescue packs

Additional advantageous experience includes:

• Intermittent catheter care
• Suctioning machines
• PEJ care
