Our client, a prestigious Global Banking Group, is seeking a talented Credit Risk Officer to join their 2nd line of defense. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing a significant portfolio and influencing critical decisions within a leading Project Finance institution.

In this impactful role, you will:

  • Perform thorough risk assessments for new business opportunities, increased lending requests, amendments to existing terms, credit reviews, and restructuring proposals.
  • Evaluate and challenge submissions from the front office to ensure robust credit decision-making.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and insightful credit papers, presenting well-reasoned recommendations to credit approvers.
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of clients, monitoring credit risk trends across obligors and industry sub-sectors.
  • Identify and escalate emerging credit concerns or deteriorating positions to support early risk mitigation.

What you bring to the table:

  • At least 4 years of experience in project finance credits across various sectors, with exposure to multiple credit cycles.
  • Strong numerical and financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex information from diverse sources.
  • Proficiency in financial models and sensitivity analysis.
  • Knowledge of capital markets products, derivatives (including ISDA), and trading agreements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to solve complex problems independently and lead discussions with the front office.
  • Experience contributing to strategic direction and implementing change with a passion for excellence.
