Job Title: Laundry Assistant

Our Laundry Assistants play a vital role in maintaining the dignity and comfort of our residents by ensuring their clothing and linens are clean, well-maintained, and handled with care. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys creating a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

1. Maintaining high standards of order and tidiness in the laundry area.
2. Washing, drying, ironing, and repairing clothing and linen as needed.
3. Managing linen stocks and raising issues with the Senior Housekeeper.
4. Folding, separating, and redistributing linen and clothing with kindness and attention to detail.
5. Creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents.

Candidate Requirements

1. Experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
2. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
3. Positive energy and a natural ability to communicate effectively and kindly with residents and colleagues.
4. Ability to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and respond appropriately.
5. Willingness to undertake safeguarding training and additional role-related training.
