Job Description

Join Rolls-Royce as a Product Definition Engineer in Instrumentation within our Test and Experimental Engineering (T&EE) Instrumentation Design team in Bristol. You will support advanced defence and civil gas turbine engines, producing and checking component definitions to meet design intent, ensuring fit, form, and function, while optimizing manufacturing processes for test engine hardware.

Key Responsibilities

• Work within the Instrumentation Design team to ensure component definitions are fit for purpose and meet schedule requirements
• Create, review, and approve instrumentation component drawings, maintaining quality standards
• Produce tolerance stack-ups for new product validation
• Interface with manufacturers to ensure manufacturability and incorporate feedback
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in product definition within a regulated industry
• Proficiency in CAD tools and component drawing standards
• Good knowledge of engine components and manufacturing capabilities
• Attention to detail with logical and analytical thinking
• Positive, self-motivated, and able to work against fixed deadlines
