We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Advisor to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, conducting market research, and managing leads through our CRM system. This role requires a proactive approach and a professional demeanor to engage potential clients effectively.
Responsibilities
- Proactively conduct telemarketing campaigns targeting an agreed client sector growth plan to promote company products, focusing on new and lapsed clients to update the customer database and execute focused BDA campaigns aimed at securing increased profitable business year on year.
- Process leads or inquiries by adding them to the company database and contacting them to assess suitability, screening potential clients for the Business Development Manager to close deals.
- Collaborate with the Marketing department to nurture leads generated through email marketing campaigns.
- Initiate contact with prospects via calls and emails to introduce services and solutions.
- Build rapport and establish relationships with prospects to understand their needs and challenges.
- Conduct research to identify potential markets, industries, and clients aligned with our offerings.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategies.
- Manage leads through the CRM system, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities in collaboration with the sales team.
- Maintain professionalism in all communications with clients and stakeholders.
- Work closely with marketing to align efforts with campaigns and initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to growth strategies.
- Complete specific campaigns as directed by management.
- Handle incoming inquiries from the 0800 number or website, including routing.
- Follow formal processes as part of ISO9001 standards.
- Attend meetings as necessary and undertake reasonable requests from senior management.
- Prioritize workload based on guidance from the Team Leader.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in business development or telesales environment.
- Minimum GCSE Maths & English.
- IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong telephone skills with a proven track record of generating leads.
- Proficient in CRM software for managing leads and sales activities.
- Excellent research and analytical skills to identify market opportunities and trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and within a team.
- Valid Driving License and reliable transportation.
