Job Title: QA Technician at Veetee

As a QA Technician at Veetee, you will review the manufacturing process, plant hygiene, GMP, and other internal audits, as well as inspecting all raw materials and packing deliveries.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct daily GMP audits of the warehouse, factory exterior, and office areas.
2. Perform regular checks on packing lines to ensure products meet specifications.
3. Check packing lines and equipment to ensure proper functioning and calibration of items like weight checkers and metal detectors.
4. Verify that date coding and labelling of finished goods are accurate, readable, and meet customer requirements.
5. Carry out traceability tests.
6. Maintain product samples from daily production for quality or defect checks.
7. Test raw materials and packaging quality, and develop technical reviews of suppliers.
8. Continuously check product quality (metal detection, weight, seals, barcodes, etc.), address deviations, and record tests appropriately.
9. Complete all associated paperwork accurately and timely.
10. Perform batch end procedures and reconcile packed stock, packaging, and raw materials.
11. Ensure production deadlines are met and wastage is minimized.
12. Maintain a tidy work area.
13. Assist in training others on equipment once fully competent.
14. Support non-conformance investigations and resolutions.
15. Perform any other reasonable duties related to the role.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Previous QA or food handling experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Intermediate certification in Food Hygiene and knowledge of HACCP principles.
• Numerate and literate, able to follow instructions.
• Basic IT skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including covering absences, holidays, and overtime.
