YOUR IMPACT

As a Payments Product Manager, you are pivotal in providing the direction and end-to-end management of the Payments products, with responsibility for defining and implementing the Payments Product business strategy, understanding the risks associated with the product, development of new products, and commercialization of these products. The role requires a deep understanding of payment rails including cross border/cross currency solutions. Understanding client challenges/opportunities and industry trends will be required as inputs into the Payments strategic product roadmap and commercialization strategy. You will join a team of creative and driven product managers to help build digital solutions to empower the client and advisor relationship.

Private Wealth Management (PWM)

Goldman Sachs PWM specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for ultra-high net worth individuals and families, and select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work closely with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies from our deep investment experience, diverse capabilities, and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors offer an investment platform with full product and service offerings, including tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning, and private banking and lending services, leveraging Goldman Sachs and beyond.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Operate as a subject matter expert across global payments solutions, including payment rails and domestic/cross-border payment solutions (. SWIFT, FPS, CHAPS, BACS, SEPA, SEPA Instant, TARGET2).
  • Understand PWM business goals and collaborate closely to drive product requirements and success.
  • Support and develop product strategy and roadmap with team, customers, and partners.
  • Assist in executing the product roadmap by writing user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with engineering, design, operations, and program management for seamless execution.
  • Gather stakeholder input and coordinate among Business, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Engineering.
  • Monitor industry best practices and analyze user feedback to develop solutions.
  • Engage with vendors to ensure they meet product needs.
  • Use analytics to inform and influence the product roadmap.
  • Break down larger projects into smaller components, understanding dependencies.
  • Document and communicate workflows, and translate complex requirements into actionable steps.
  • Improve existing processes for efficiency in evolving environments.
  • Participate in ideation, feasibility assessments, business case prep, and product definition.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and challenges.
  • Use problem-solving skills to address gaps and shape PWM services.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Detailed knowledge of payment rails (. SWIFT, SEPA, BACS, TARGET2) with risk and control identification.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 7+ years in Financial Services, with product management in an agile environment; wealth management experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of leading calls and training, adjusting content for audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • High personal accountability, proactive, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to break down complex problems, document workflows, and communicate clearly.
  • Commitment to excellence, integrity, and ownership of projects.
  • Flexibility to collaborate across teams and meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
