An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Wealth Manager to join the financial planning team in Hymans Robertson Personal Wealth. This role is available in any of our office locations, and we are open to considering candidates on a part time or full-time basis (minimum 4 days per week).
What will your role look like?
You will be joining a fast-growing team that improves financial wellbeing for people across the workforce through the provision of guidance, financial planning and wealth management services.
Your primary responsibility will be too onboard and serve high net worth clients to support their wealth management needs, helping them achieve their lifetime financial goals.
There is significant scope for personal growth and development in this collaborative and supportive team.
Though this is a varied role, your key tasks will include:
Business Development
- You will cultivate relationships both with professional introducers and clients, and build your own network of introducers, prospects and clients. We have a collaborative team who work together to build networks, and you will be expected to contribute to this.
Serving Clients
- Developing strong relationships to onboard and retain clients, managing your client relationships through meetings (either online or in business premises) and via high-quality communications.
- Conducting in-depth assessments of clients’ financial circumstances, current provisions, and future aims and goals.
- Completing investment risk analyses using our attitude to investment risk questionnaires.
- Analysing information and preparing plans and financial strategies best suited to individual clients’ requirements, using cashflow planning tools and working closely with our Head of Wealth Management on more complex cases.
- Researching the marketplace and providing clients with information on existing and new products and services.
Regulatory
- Meet all regulatory aspects of the role, e.g., requirements for disclosure, costs of the services or products provided whilst accepting responsibility for the advice provided.
- Adhering to all compliance processes and procedures, including maintaining a valid Statement of Professional Standing.
- Keeping up to date with financial products and legislation and setting and completing training and competence requirements.
To enjoy and succeed in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in converting opportunities is essential, as well as generating a strong level of client referrals.
- A level 4 RQF or CISI qualification, potentially working towards level 6 and have demonstrable experience as a regulated financial planner or wealth manager.
- Excellent and proactive client management skills, e.g. contacting clients with news of market or legislation changes that may affect their savings and investments.
- Proven success in cultivating relationships both with professional introducers and clients, and evidence of building your own network of introducers, prospects and clients.
- Experience working in a team. We are looking for a real team player who will work closely with the Head of Wealth Management, as well as paraplanning and administration support.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, confidence with clients, and high levels of technical knowledge are requisites.
- A strong networker with evidence of high levels of client-centricity as well as your approach to both growing and serving your client base.
- A good level of numeracy and IT skills.
- Good working knowledge of Intelligent Office / Intelliflo is preferred (but not essential).
