Management Accountant
Our esteemed client, a prestigious entity in the Insurance sector, is actively seeking a meticulous and dedicated Accountant to enrich their finance department. This full-time, permanent opportunity is based at their well-established offices in the financial district.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role involves assisting with Financial Accounting, period close, and bank reconciliations.
Skills / Knowledge
- Good knowledge and experience of ERP (sub-ledgers and ledger) aspects of accounting systems and processes.
- Understanding of external regulations (e.g., Solvency II, statutory reporting, IFRS 17).
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.
- Proactive mindset to improve processes locally and functionally.
Experience
- Experience in financial operations within a regulated Financial Services environment.
- Experience in process optimization within finance operations.
- Experience managing data quality, analysis, and traceability for reporting.
- At least 3 years of experience working with actuarial and finance departments in an insurance company.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting regimes (GAAP, IFRS 17, SII) is desirable.
- Experience working with SAP data is desirable.
- Strong skills in MS SQL Server, Excel, and Access; experience with VBA, R, or Python is a plus.
- Experience with Azure cloud-based systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of ResQ or similar actuarial reserving tools is desirable.
- Understanding of data structures, database design, and cloud data environments.
- Experience in data reconciliation, automation, and financial reporting processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across actuarial, finance, and operations teams.
