Job Description

Diamond H is now hiring full-time W2 employees for our construction company with positions opening in June. No experience necessary; we will train candidates who demonstrate a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Framing with wood and steel structural components
2. Installing roofing, doors, windows, siding, flooring, interior and exterior trim
3. Cleaning up job sites
4. Tearing off roofs and installing new metal roofing (occasionally)

Applicants must be comfortable with heights and possess, or be willing to learn, the basic skills to operate various lifts and construction equipment. Must be willing to learn how to set up and use ladders and scaffolding safely. Candidates should have some general knowledge of, or be willing to be trained on, how to operate common hand tools used in construction, including pneumatic, cordless, and corded electric tools.

Diamond H uses lifts and skid loaders where possible to ease the workload, but the job remains physically demanding. Long days during the building season are expected, and overtime may be required. Applicants must be willing to travel occasionally, as projects are throughout Ohio and Michigan. Travel and hotel expenses are paid by the company.

Compensation depends on experience and will be re-evaluated after a 90-day probation period. Overtime pay begins after 40 hours per week.

Employees are eligible for a 401(k) plan after six months, with paid vacation and holiday pay after one year, and additional vacation after two years.

Personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, tool belts, and safety harnesses are provided. Employees may bring their own if available.
