Job summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior/Associate Town Planner to join their expanding team. This is a permanent role with significant opportunities for professional growth within a team poised for expansion.

Key responsibilities:
  • Managing development applications, from minor projects to large land promotion for up to 10,000 homes
  • Contributing to and driving the growth of the planning team
  • Providing strategic town planning expertise and support to the wider business
  • Ensuring compliance with planning legislation and policies
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes
  • Supporting junior team members and fostering an inclusive team environment
  • Engaging with local authorities and navigating the planning process
  • Managing multiple projects and delivering comprehensive planning appraisals
Job requirements:
  • Experience in development management and town planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work mainly in the office with some hybrid working after probation
  • Motivated to contribute to team growth
  • Experience in local authority environments is a plus
  • Degree in town planning or equivalent qualification
  • Strong understanding of planning legislation and policies
