Client: Social Media

The European Privacy Policy team is seeking a project management support professional to assist our external engagement team. As a Policy Associate, you will operate at the intersection of project management, communications, knowledge sharing, and budget management to facilitate privacy engagement initiatives and process improvements within the EU and UK Privacy Policy teams. Your responsibilities will include mapping processes and enhancing communications to identify efficiency opportunities and improve knowledge management.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, strategic, adaptable, and able to earn credibility across organizational levels. They should demonstrate experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams on operational issues involving policy, legal, communications, product, and other departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft proposals and write-ups for partnership communications.
  • Manage budgets for initiatives.
  • Coordinate team participation in events, including speaker topics, agenda setting, and follow-up actions.
  • Organize team documents effectively.
  • Create visuals and presentations tailored to specific audiences, using provided content and ensuring appropriate design.

Project, Process, and Budget Management:

  • Develop project plans and strategic templates to monitor privacy engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee budget tracking, contracts, payments, and external partner communications.
  • Manage the engagement calendar and utilize CRM tools for centralized tracking.
  • Collaborate with events and policy teams to plan and execute strategies.

Communications Management:

  • Enhance internal communication channels and strategies related to external engagement.
  • Coordinate messaging and communication strategies internally and globally.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for various audiences, including updates and sentiment analysis.
  • Monitor external conversations and influence in the privacy community.
  • Organize events and promotional materials.

Knowledge Management:

  • Maintain and improve processes for sharing privacy engagement knowledge.
  • Serve as a resource for knowledge sharing best practices, leveraging internal and external resources.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Proficiency in creating visuals using tools like Google Docs, PowerPoint, and ChatGPT with proper prompts.
  • At least 5 years of program management or client servicing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with public policy, privacy, or technology policy topics.
  • Experience working with external partners or at policy events.
  • Familiarity with regulatory processes or stakeholder engagement.
