Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to join our team. This role involves collaboration between the systems and production departments and is based at our Bristol office, with travel to various UK sites as needed.

Requirements

• No professional experience or qualifications required, but a keen interest and personal exploration in a related engineering field are essential.
• Interest in technologies such as line scanning, machine vision cameras, lighting, laser measurement, thermal sensors, industrial embedded Linux, IP networking, GPS/4G/5G, CCTV.
• Willingness to build, configure, and test systems ranging from portable camera equipment to complex bespoke on-train installations.
• Assist with on-site commissioning and maintenance.
• Perform tasks in office and on-site safely and professionally.
• Manage assets according to processes and procedures.

Personal Qualities and Preferences

• Flexible, adaptable, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective written communication skills.
• Strong interest in electrical design, mechanical engineering, or IT.
• Bonus: An interest in rail industry.
