Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment is currently working with a leading aviation company to recruit a Senior Operations Specialist for their night shift team, based in their modern office in Crawley.

The Senior Operations Specialist will coordinate maintenance and repair efforts to ensure customer aircraft remain operational by sourcing and supplying necessary components.

The role requires close communication with clients, providing detailed feedback on all requests. As a key contact, you will liaise with internal departments (procurement, sales, inventory) to ensure effective collaboration.

We are only considering candidates with a proven background in aviation operations or air-based logistics such as freight.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the primary contact for contracted customers and Program Managers, ensuring continuity.
2. Manage maintenance requests from contracted customers, ensuring timely processing, sourcing supplies, and arranging shipments according to contractual service levels. Identify potential shortfalls and coordinate solutions with suppliers and airlines/customers.
3. Assist with daily operational demands of airlines/customers, fulfilling requests within contractual levels, and minimizing delays through effective communication and alternative solutions.
4. Follow through on demands until shipping information is provided by the freight forwarder, and communicate updates to the airline.
5. Provide feedback to the Senior Operations Manager on potential improvements and procedural changes to enhance operations. Engage proactively with Program and Operations Managers to meet contractual requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Identify early potential problems and risks, evaluate implications, and develop contingency plans. Escalate issues to management when necessary.
7. Explore potential new suppliers to improve effectiveness, profitability, or expand company activities if advantageous.

Package:

• Starting salary of £40,000+
• Additional shift allowance of £4,000 per annum
• Work pattern: 4 nights on, 4 nights off
• Modern office with free onsite parking
