WSP is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Project Manager to join the Roads team based in Bristol.

Your role will be central to our high-performing team, utilizing your project management skills to successfully deliver projects efficiently for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing highways projects for public and private clients across the UK, from planning through design and construction.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality management systems and driving efficiencies during project execution.
  • Providing guidance and support to a team of experienced and developing technical staff.
  • Contributing to the development of the team’s knowledge base and mentoring junior staff.
  • Planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling projects with limited supervision, including managing changes.
  • Handling contract management and administration under various frameworks and standalone contracts.
  • Engaging with clients such as local authorities, infrastructure agencies, and private developers across diverse sectors.
  • Working with a multidisciplinary team, including UK engineers and remote resources in India, fostering a diverse culture.
  • Managing multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously.
  • Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver projects successfully.


What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

  • Professional qualification in project management and/or engineering.
  • Degree in a STEM or similar discipline.
  • Experience with NEC accreditation and NEC Contracts.
  • Membership in professional bodies such as APM, PMI, RICS, or MICE.
  • Experience in highway or linear infrastructure projects is beneficial but not essential; adaptability and transferability are valued.
  • Competence in stakeholder management, risk assessment, planning/scheduling, and commercial management.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of Designers Duties under CDM regulations.
