Role Summary

This role requires a skilled technician to support the new build production line manufacturing detail parts for assemblies. Employees are encouraged to learn new specific tasks to diversify their skills and support the business. This will lead to further progression through the grading system. Further training can be provided to suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

• Ensure achievement and maintenance of internal approvals to carry out manufacturing tasks.
• Record progress of tasks through works orders to completion, following procedures.
• Train new and trainee employees to complete manufacturing tasks in accordance with procedures.
• Manufacture aircraft components from aluminium sheet metal or other materials using specialized tools.
• Perform forming, pressing, routing, and manual operations to meet drawing requirements.
• Assemble metal components, riveting, countersinking, de-burring, bonding, and sealing as per drawings.
• Manufacture small machined parts using manual and CNC mills and lathes.
• Fabricate fuel pipes, Pitot pipes, brake pipes, and similar using copper, tungum, and other materials.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and build instructions.
• Maintain high attention to detail to ensure quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications

• Indentured Apprenticeship or equivalent in a relevant area.
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar manufacturing environment (desirable but not essential).
