Job description

CarmichaelUK are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join one of the UK s busiest and most critical road transport assets. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-demand 24/7 operation involving tunnel and bridge maintenance across the Thames.

About the Role:

You will be working on the ventilation, pump rooms, and electrical systems for Tunnels and Bridges. The role is shift-based with a 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off rotation (12-hour shifts: 6am 6pm / 6pm 6am).

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical maintenance of large pumps, motors, ventilation systems

• Fault finding using schematic drawings

• Work on HV systems (preferably 11kV and above)

• Maintenance of generators and switchgear

• Electrical installation to current legislation

• Comply with and promote H&S standards on site

What We re Looking For:

• Industrial or commercial background essential
• HV experience (11kV+) highly desirable
• Experience in generators, switchgear, and fault diagnostics
• Strong grounding in electrical maintenance
• Familiarity with Wiring Regs (18th Edition) can be completed with client if candidate has strong fundamentals
• Background in power stations or rail would be highly beneficial
