The Solution Architect will be responsible for leading the solution architecture and owning the technology roadmaps for our iD Mobile technology estate. They will evaluate our business needs alongside our implementation partners and identify how technology can deliver those needs.

Role overview:

• Work with external partners on product roadmap alignment with iD business plans
• Collaborate with technical leads, business analysts, and project managers on a range of technology projects including software development, package implementations, and infrastructure upgrades/changes
• Support strategic planning and product development roadmaps with business and technology partners
• Assist in troubleshooting incidents and optimize operational technology stacks
• Advise on future enterprise solutions, outlining risks, costs, benefits, and capabilities
• Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies to stakeholders
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, technologies, architectures, and emerging trends
• Build positive relationships with business stakeholders
• Review initiatives for compliance with standards and architectural plans
• Engage with procurement for sourcing new technologies
• Approve internal and external partner solution designs

Additionally, the role involves supporting operations during major incidents and working with the service improvement team to enhance efficiency and manage risks within the technology stack.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Solution Architect in an eCommerce environment
• Experience in an API-first environment
• Understanding of Azure cloud hosting
• Exposure to MuleSoft or similar integration platforms and legacy methods
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working in complex, fast-paced IT environments
• Ability to handle uncertainty and deliver pragmatic solutions
• Full SDLC experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Telco experience is essential; MVNO experience is desirable
• Knowledge of infrastructure (Cloud and on-premise), including Linux, VMs, network, and security tools
• Understanding of firewalls, WAF, load balancers
• Experience with Online Charging Solutions (OCS)
• Strong problem-solving skills
